3.1 Age Requirement
Entry to the casino licensed area at The Star Brisbane is restricted to persons aged 18 years or over. It is an offence under Queensland law for a person under 18 years of age to enter or remain in any casino licensed area.
Proof of age may be required prior to entry. Acceptable proof of age documents include government-issued photographic identification. Suspected fraudulent identification documents may be confiscated and referred to the relevant authorities.
3.2 Right of Entry and Refusal
The casino operator reserves the right to refuse entry to any person for any reason, including in accordance with the Casino Control Act 1982 (Qld). The operator may withdraw a guest’s right to remain on casino premises at any time.
Entry to certain areas, including the Sovereign premium gaming area, is restricted to authorised guests, eligible members of The Star Club, and persons attending by invitation only.
3.3 Prohibited Items and Attire
The following items and attire are not permitted within the casino licensed area:
- Face-concealing headwear: Prohibited, except where required for medical or religious reasons
- Steel-capped footwear: Not permitted
- Security uniforms: Not permitted, except for authorised casino security personnel
- Disguises or face paint: Not permitted
- Swimwear: Not permitted
- Oversized bags or luggage: Subject to restriction
- Clothing displaying offensive slogans or images, or visible offensive tattoos: Not permitted
3.4 Conduct Requirements
Patrons must not engage in the following conduct while on casino premises:
- cheating or any illegal activity related to gaming operations
- use of any device capable of influencing game outcomes
- entering or remaining in the casino if they are an Excluded Person under the Casino Control Act 1982 (Qld) or subject to any applicable exclusion order
- lending money for profit or soliciting funds from other patrons
- using electronic devices for video or digital recording within the casino licensed area
- using mobile phones at a gaming table while a wager is in play
- leaving children unattended on casino premises
Smoking is not permitted in any enclosed area of the casino premises. Designated outdoor smoking areas are available for use.
3.5 Lost Property
Any lost property found on casino premises, including cash, unattended gaming credits, and chips, must be handed to a casino team member immediately. Failure to do so may result in referral to the relevant authorities and may constitute grounds for exclusion from the casino.
